This is the last masterlist I've got running around (they're like chickens in my head)! I do have a series of fic rec lists, but I'm not sure what the etiquette is regarding that (are they welcome or do I need to get permission to rec something over here first?)

And as always any warnings are present on the post themselves and the tags on AO3

Thalassophobia (Day 1 Eärwen): Eärwen is terrified of the sea, which is not an ideal thing for a princess of the Teleri. She might also be losing her mind but that’s not something she wants to talk about. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Best Intentions (Day 2 Aegnor): In spite everything (and that everything is heavy) Aegnor does believe he’s doing the right thing. Or at least he hopes he is. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Canning (Or how to focus on preserves and not the horrors that haunt you) (Day 3 Galadriel): Galadriel at the start of the Second Age. Establishing a brand new home is not easy. Neither is any of the rest. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

wish you would walk through my door (Day 5 Finduilas): If he had really gone off to fight, it would mean that he had lied to her. That he’d known he was going to lose, and that meant he knew he would be leaving her behind. So he hadn’t. She refused to believe it. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Enough (Day 7 Free Choice/Finduilas): Learning she’s going to be an older sister would hard enough to process. The political implications behind it make it worse. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Caesura (Day 1 Míriel Þerindë and Indis): Predictable as it may be, it started like most things do when it comes to the Eldar, with starlight. Starlight, songs in a field bathed in darkness, and laughter rippling over the water of a lake. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Tourniquet (Day 2 Findis): In between the laughing and trying to get her sister off of her, she almost misses Curufinwë’s shadow slipping out through the main gates. Almost. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

In Perpetuum (Day 3 Aredhel): Írissë has always been stubborn. But she doesn’t think she’s being unreasonable. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

that which was not found (Day 4 Finduilas): Finduilas daughter of Orodreth and Princess of the Noldor dies at the Crossing of Teiglin. In spite of that, she lives. It is almost harder. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Saudade (Day 5 Andreth): It is a strange pattern to be trapped in. Never formally named anything or invited anywhere that matters, but still wanted and expected, always heard but never truly listened to. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Smitten (Day 6 OCs/Orodreth’s wife): It is a shame neither of their children ever found their calling as playwrights, their story would have been perfect for a classic romantic comedy. Oh well, perhaps it was better, that way their story would remain theirs and theirs alone. (Or how Hîthwen and Orodreth fell in love and came to be married, told in snippets). (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

The mysterious disappearance of Marjoram Appleton (Day 4 The Old Forest): A hobbit tale about the dangers of the ancient woods (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Hound or Hind (Day 5 Nan Elmoth): In the moment she blamed the wind for pulling the arrow from its course. In a few years’ time, with the whole of the truth laid bare in front of her, she would blame something else entirely. (Tumblr & AO3 & DW)

Author's note: Another Finduilas piece! This one isn't even sad (there's some frustration but no tragedy)! And this is another one that got inspired by an ask (we were doing a hypothetical fic game and they ended up less than hypothetical for the most part, I think I acquired like four extra WIPs after that

Author's note: What's this? I've written something that is not depressing or horrifying? No but seriously, this is the lightest, fluffiest thing I've ever written so far. (I meant it then and I mean it now I've got like maybe three non tragic/sad fics I've written total, maybe five if we allow for some sadness with an eventual happy ending/happiness so long as you don't look at the canon timeline. And this is still the fluffiest)

Add to that the fact that the Ainur don't really understand the elves, and Tolkien's world building around marriage? Author's note: I feel that if Maglor was still wandering the beaches we would probably know more about his whereabouts/what he's doing (if only to have confirmation that everything remains the same), so hiding out in a place like the marshes would be something he'd at least consider at some point. He's referred to as crow/raven in Sindarin in this.

Author's note: This one got away from me, it was originally supposed to be something like a haunted house tour of the city but then I got caught up in thinking about logistics and who does the everyday chores around and well... Meet Hild! Overall she's holding up decently given the circumstance (we are grading on a curve). (I'm still pretty slow in this whole crossposting business, but I'm learning)
